Do I need to book an appointment?

Yes. We strongly recommend that you book an appointment as we aim to give each bride a private, personal experience. If you are hoping to drop by then please call or email before hand so that we can confirm it is available to do so. Thank you!


Who should I bring with me to my appointment?

We advise that you bring no more than 3 guests to your appointment. Too many guests can become overwhelming as everyone has their own opinion, and sometimes the focus can be taken away from you!


What should I wear to my appointment?  

We recommend that you wear light or nude underwear. If measurements are required it is also recommended that you wear the same (or similar) bra that you will wear on your wedding day in order to ensure accuracy. Finally, we recommend that you bring the shoes you wish to wear on your wedding day.


When should I start my dress search?

As the gowns are made to order, we recommend beginning your search at least 8-10 months in advance, 10+ months is preferable to allow for any alteration time.

Nonetheless, if you getting married before that don’t worry, we can help! Not only do we have a ‘Take Me Home’ dress collection dedicated to brides who need their dress sooner rather than later, but if you happen fall in love with one of our made to order gowns in store and it fits you, then you are welcome to purchase it off the rack and take it away that day!! Alternatively you can ask for a rush order, however these do often incur additional charges from the designers.

Whenever you’re due to get married, we are on hand and will do the best we can to help you find your perfect dress!


If my friend has visited the shop or is due to visit, can I request for my/their chosen dress to be taken off display?

Yes, we do allow this. As we aren't aware of who knows who, if you inform us that your friend has visited, or is due to visit us after you, we can take your/their chosen bridal or bridesmaids dress off display prior to your/their appointment.


What size are your dresses?

Our sample dresses are in a variety of sizes from 10-24 and they are available to order in a range of sizes from 6-24.

Our ‘Take Me Home’ dresses range from sizes 6 to 22.

Keep in mind, our gowns are labeled in 'bridal size', which typically runs 2-3 sizes smaller than 'regular clothing' and sometimes more. Additionally, all of our designers use their own size charts, so your size may be different across different designers.


Do you offer an in house seamstress service?

We do not currently offer a full in-house service for alterations. However, we have partnered with some fabulous local seamstresses who would be happy to carry out any alterations for you, and they are available to come to the boutique for your first fitting. Just ask if you wish for more details!


What if I lose weight once I have ordered my gown?

If you are planning on losing weight and we are ordering your dress with time to spare then we can defer measurements until a later date.

Nonetheless, don’t panic if you do lose weight after your gown has been ordered as most gowns can usually be reduced up or down by 2 dress sizes.


Do I have to pay for my gown in full?

For gowns which are being ordered, 50% of the final total is required at the time of placing the order. Sale items and gowns from our ‘Take Me Home’ dress collection are payable in full at the time of purchase.


Are there any no-gos?

Just one, pretty please do not come to the appointment with a fresh fake tan as it can rub off onto our lovely dresses. Thank you!
